About Us

pamcapricebeachMission Statement

Bagnesia is committed to helping people live more lightly on the earth, by simply remembering to use their reusable bags. Plastic bag waste is greatly impacting our environment, including land and sea. We need to reinforce the cycle of taking our reusable bags from the house, to the car, into the store and back again. Bagnesia's solution to that problem is a kit designed to remind everyone of that eco-friendly cycle.

People want to be ecologically and socially responsible.   Using even one less plastic bag CAN make a difference in the future of our world, starting today.

Pam Eatrides

Pam Eatrides, a former health club owner from Maryland, moved to Longboat Key  Florida with her husband and daughter in 2001.  Ready for a new career, she quickly saw the opportunity to start another business and now manages vacation rental properties in the area.  She and her family continue to live in Florida.

Caprice Ericson

Caprice Ericson has worked as a Location Scout in the film industry for 22 years.  Credits include feature films such as The Wedding Crashers, Live Free or Die Hard, Failure to Launch and Ladder 49 as well as hundreds of television commercials.  Caprice has a son named Halston.  She presently lives in Annapolis Maryland with her 6-pound miniature dachshund, Roxy.

Longtime friends, Pam Eatrides and Caprice Ericson developed Bagnesia’s Reusable Bag Kits to keep from forgetting their own reusable bags. During a routine trip to the market, Pam had forgotten her bags at home but didn’t notice until she was in the checkout line. Caprice, who was visiting Pam at the time, said that she had the same problem; she too kept forgetting her reusable bags. They teased each other about their reusable bag amnesia.

As the pair started discussing strategies that would help, Pam said, “I need something right here at eye level” as she gripped the top of the steering wheel. The pair discussed the idea of creating a steering wheel wrap with a message that would remind them to grab their bags. But, they realized she hadn’t even remembered to put the bags in the car. They would need a reminder inside their homes. In that short car ride, the groundwork for the solution to reusable bag amnesia was born. By the time they arrived back at Pam’s house, they knew they were on to something. They started sharing their ideas with family and friends who would simply look at them and say “brilliant”.    (Or as Al Gore says- “Clever”)!

As a part of Bagnesia’s commitment to the environment they have added reusable produce bags to their line and continue to look for more ways to reduce plastic waste.
