Our bags and reminders may not be made of completely sustainable materials but we feel helping just one family or individual remember their reusable bags instead of using paper or plastic bags will make a significant difference.

How can I wash my compact bag?

A wonderful feature about your Bagnesia bag vs. a standard grocery store reusable bag is that you can wash it over and over again.  We recommend cool or warm water on the gentle cycle of your washer or just washing at the sink and air drying.  Pam has been known to put hers in hot water with bleach in her front loading machine and has not had any problems but it may shorten the life of your bag.   Do not put in the dryer.  Line or air dry only. 

 
How much weight can I put in my Bagnesia bag?

Our bag can hold up to 3 plastic bags full of groceries or the equivalent of 40 lbs.  We don’t suggest you fill them that full unless your hunk of a hubby can lift them for you but it’s nice to know they are strong and can hold much more than most reusable bags you get at the grocery store.  They will generally hold up much longer than polypropylene bags. 

Are there any other uses for your steering wheel wrap?

In addition to putting it on your steering wheel or parking brake, many of our customers also like to use them for holding several bags together or as a cushion on their shoulder.  Mom's love it to wrap around the handle of their car seat.  When taking baby out of the car it reminds them to grab their reusable bags, too!   One of our favorite NY customers likes to use it on the rod in her coat closet as another reminder when she’s leaving the house to grab her bags.  

What are your produce bags made of?

Nylon Mesh- they weigh just 0.4 grams and dry out quickly when rinsed.

Do your produce bags keep my produce fresher longer?
We do not make that claim.  Our produce bags are designed to eliminate throwaway plastic produce bags from our environment.  Weigh your produce directly in the bag at the store and then if you wish to take it home and rinse it straight in the bag, please do so.  Use your favorite veggie washing spray directly on the fruits/veggies in the bag and then you clean both at the same time.  If you are limited on space in your refrigerator, they are a great way to store your fruits and veggies to keep things organized.  Much smaller than a colander.
 

How do I use my reminders that come with the kit?

-Place the door hanger on the door where you typically exit your home to remind you to put them in the car.

-Place the neoprene wrap on either the top or the bottom of your steering wheel (whatever you’re comfortable with) as a constant reminder to take your bags out of the back seat or trunk and into the store with you.
